We are looking for a Cafe Manager to join the team!
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cafe. The successful candidate will lead the team, deliver exceptional customer service, maintain high operational standards, and drive business performance. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Thuringowa Central, QLD.
Main tasks:
- Manage day-to-day cafe operations and ensure smooth service.
- Lead, train, coach and supervise cafe staff.
- Prepare staff rosters and manage labour costs.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies and conduct stocktakes.
- Open and close the cafe, including cash handling and reconciliation.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and report maintenance requirements.
- Drive sales through upselling, merchandising and promotional activities.
- Monitor financial performance, minimise waste and meet budget targets.
- Recruit, onboard and develop new team members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:
- Minimum of a relevant Diploma qualification plus minimum 1 year’ relevant work experience in the last 5 years.
- 3 years’ relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification.
Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Current Food Safety knowledge; Barista experience highly regarded.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.

Annual salary will be between $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience. Job Types: Full time, Permanent
