We're looking for an experienced Lead / Senior Civil Planner to join our Pre-Contracts & Major Projects Planning Team based in Osborne Park.
This is a permanent Monday - Friday opportunity where you'll work alongside some of the industry's most experienced civil construction professionals, playing a key role in planning and delivering major resource-sector projects across Western Australia.

As the Lead /Senior Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimizing project schedules across multiple civil construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams, you will provide accurate planning, progress reporting and forecasting to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

About the role
As a Lead / Senior Civil Planner, you'll develop, maintain and optimise project schedules across multiple civil construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams, you'll provide planning, forecasting and progress reporting that helps deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain resource-loaded Primavera P6 schedules
- Produce construction programs aligned with project methodology and contract requirements
- Monitor progress, identify schedule risks and implement recovery strategies
- Analyse project performance, critical path and forecast completion dates
- Update schedules to reflect progress, delays, variations and change
- Prepare earned value reports, S-curves, histograms and project dashboards
- Perform delay analysis and provide planning recommendations
- Collaborate with project teams and clients to optimise project delivery
- Interpret engineering drawings and translate them into practical construction schedules
What you'll bring
- 10+ years' planning experience within the civil construction industry
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing resource-loaded Primavera P6 schedules
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and project controls
- Experience preparing earned value reporting, S-curves and schedule analysis
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Navisworks and the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Experience with Power Query (Excel) is advantageous
- PMI-SP or AACE PSP certification is highly regarded
- Engineering or trade qualification, preferably in Civil Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed resource loaded project schedules that outline tasks, milestones and deadlines in line with construction methodology / contract requirements.
- Understand and interpret detailed engineering drawings. Translate drawings into project schedules.
- Monitor project timelines and adjust plans.
- Collaborate with construction teams on-site and other project stakeholders as required to maintain the project schedule.
- Collect progress information from construction team,
and update project schedule for progress, delays, variations and any other relevant information, and keep the project schedule up to date.
- Perform project schedule analysis and provide insights from the updated schedule to the project team on project performance.
- Prepare progress reports using Earned Value methodologies, generate S-Curves & weekly reports as per internal and client templates.
- Generate Manning & Commodity Histograms from construction schedule.
- Ability to perform delay analysis.
