CHILD CARE GROUP LEADER (FULL-TIME)

Location: Zuccoli, Northern Territory
Salary: AUD $69,000 – $90,000 per annum

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Child Care Group Leader to join our early childhood education team in Zuccoli, NT. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth, development, and wellbeing of young children in a supportive and engaging learning setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise a group of children in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

- Plan, implement, and evaluate educational and recreational programs that support children's learning and development.

- Observe children's progress and maintain records relating to their developmental milestones, learning outcomes, and wellbeing.

- Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative development through age-appropriate activities.

- Guide and mentor child care assistants and educators in the delivery of daily programs and routines.

- Ensure compliance with relevant child protection, health, safety, and education regulations and centre policies.

- Foster positive relationships with children, families, colleagues,



and external stakeholders.

- Support children's nutritional, hygiene, and personal care needs while promoting independence.

- Prepare learning materials, resources, and environments that stimulate children's curiosity and engagement.

- Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

- Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or a closely related field.

- Demonstrated experience working with children in an early childhood setting.

- Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning frameworks.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

- Ability to work effectively within a team and lead a group of educators.

- Current Working with Children Clearance (or ability to obtain one).

- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates (or ability to obtain).
