About the role:
An chance for a CCRN to join a team of nurses for a boy aged 2 with Dravet Syndrome. He is prone to severe seizures that can lead to intubation or rescuciation, but otherwise a health, active little boy.

Nurses do not have to have peadiatric experience however do require experience with seizure response and managing children, which may include personal experience.

The role requires an element of "nanny" including playing and entertaining to provide parents with much needed sleep or respite.

To join the team you will:

- Live within 30minutes of Mornington

- Have extensive experience with seizure emergency management

- Have extensive experience with critical thinking and acting in emergency setting including resuscitation

- Instrinsic common sense and initative





- Enjoy playing with super energetic 2 year olds

- Shifts available are

- Nights 10pm to 6apm

- Fridays 7.30am to 4:30pm

We are looking for an immediate start for the right candidate.

You must have;

- APHRA registation DIV 1

- Post grad qualifications in critical care

- Valid Australian Driver’s License

- Valid CPR Certificate

- Proof of rights to work in Australia

- NDIS Worker Screener Check

The successful candidate will have:

- experience in ICU setting is highly regarded, or experience in high stressful response team / and / or seizure management

- Reliable

- Exceptional critical thinking

- Able to commit to the same shifts weekly - ideally 2 shifts per week

This position pays $75ph weekdays with penalities applicable for nights and weekends as per nurse award.
