We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Batch Plant Operator/Supervisor to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects.

Position Overview

As a Batch Plant Operator/Supervisor, you will operate and oversee the daily running of the concrete batching plant to ensure product is produced safely, efficiently and to specification. You will manage batching operations, supervise plant personnel, monitor mix quality and compliance with Australian Standards, and coordinate closely with site teams to ensure a reliable and timely supply of concrete to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate the concrete batching plant and produce mixes in accordance with approved designs, project requirements and quality standards.

- Supervise and coordinate plant personnel to ensure batching operations are completed safely, on schedule and within budget.

- Oversee the loading, agitating and dispatch of concrete to site, ensuring accurate and timely supply.

- Operate front-end loaders to manage aggregates, materials and stockpiles as required.

- Maintain explicit and effective communication with project managers, engineers, site supervisors and drivers.

- Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.

- Manage the ordering, storage and stock levels of raw materials to maintain continuity of supply.

- Conduct routine plant checks,



maintenance and housekeeping to ensure equipment is operational and safe.

- Prepare and maintain accurate batching records, dockets, reports and quality documentation.

- Ensure testing and quality assurance activities are completed in accordance with project specifications and Australian Standards.

- Identify and resolve plant and supply issues while maintaining productivity and minimising delays.

Qualifications and Experience

- Demonstrated experience operating a concrete batching plant, with supervisory experience highly regarded.

- Loader ticket.

- HR License.

- MC License desirable.

- Solid understanding of concrete mix designs, batching processes and material properties.

- Proven leadership capability with the ability to effectively manage and motivate plant personnel.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with site teams and drivers.

- Solid understanding of construction legislation, safety standards and quality assurance processes.

- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to plant operations.

- S26 and relevant construction qualifications or trade background will be highly regarded.
