Position Profile: Director of Future Pathways

Full time 3-year contract position commencing Term 1 2027

Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48-hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.

Acknowledging the rapid rate of change in the economic and technological landscape, and the broadening of post-secondary school pathway options, locally and internationally, Hale School is seeking a Director of Future Pathways who will play a pivotal role in delivering personalised guidance on university studies, VET programs, and other post-school options, while leading a coherent, agile, career education program aligned with the school’s vision for teaching and learning.

The role requires demonstrated expertise in whole school strategic development, detailed curriculum insight, robust knowledge of post-school options, including national and international scholarship processes, and exceptional collaboration with students, families, staff, and external partners.

The successful applicant will be a registered teacher with:

- demonstrated capacity to lead and manage broad, complex, operational areas

- demonstrated experience in the management of pathway and vocational programs within a secondary educational setting, including high level pathways to interstate and overseas universities

- a working knowledge and understanding of VET and RTO operation and compliance principles





- demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement (internal and external)

- demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and evaluate program outcomes

- demonstrated ability to raise the aspirations of students and families for further study.
