We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Pump Technician to join our growing team in Winnellie.

This is a varied role where you'll work both in our modern workshop and on customer sites, servicing everything from industrial pumping systems and commercial building services to commercial aquatic facilities and Defence infrastructure. No two days are the same.

About the Role





Working from our Winnellie workshop and at customer sites across Darwin and the Northern Territory, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, installing and maintaining a wide range of pumping systems and associated equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Diagnosing mechanical faults on pumps and associated equipment

- Servicing, repairing and overhauling pumps, motors and rotating equipment

- Installing pumps and associated systems

- Carrying out field service, breakdowns and preventative maintenance

- Completing service reports and job documentation

- Providing professional customer service on site

- Assisting with mentoring apprentices and junior technicians

- Maintaining a safe, professional and quality-focused approach to every job

About You

We're looking for a qualified tradesperson with solid mechanical skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Ideally you'll have:

- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Maintenance Fitter, Diesel Fitter, Mechanical Technician or similar mechanical trade

- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

- Experience with pumps, rotating equipment or industrial mechanical systems

- Pump industry experience preferred but not essential





- A current NT Restricted Electrical Licence (highly regarded but not essential)

- Ability to work independently and manage jobs from start to finish

- Good communication and customer service skills

- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship

- Current NT Manual Driver Licence (or ability to obtain one)

- Own trade tools (tool allowance provided)

Security Requirements

As part of our customer base includes Defence facilities, applicants must be Australian Citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a National Police Check with no disclosable outcomes to satisfy Defence site access requirements.
