Provide strategic leadership and operational expertise to advance the University’s digital education and artificial intelligence agenda.

About the Position
As the Senior Digital Education and AI Specialist you will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of digital learning environments, educational technologies, learning analytics and AI-enabled practices that enhance learning, teaching and the student experience across both higher education and vocational education.

Working across the University, you will lead initiatives that strengthen digital capability, support evidence-informed decision making, improve the effective use of institutional technologies, and ensure learning experiences remain contemporary, accessible, and student-centered. The position provides institutional leadership and coordination for the implementation of Generative AI across learning and teaching, student support, policy, governance, capability development and digital systems, ensuring a consistent, compliant and strategically aligned approach.

A key focus of the role is leading the strategic review, development and governance of digital learning systems and resource management practices that support educational delivery. This includes shaping institution-wide approaches to the management, delivery, and governance of learning resources across LMS and SharePoint environments, ensuring systems are scalable, effective, and aligned with contemporary educational practice.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

- A relevant postgraduate qualification and extensive experience in digital education, educational technology, learning innovation, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex digital education, educational technology, or learning innovation initiatives within a tertiary education environment.
- Demonstrated experience with educational technologies, learning systems, learning analytics, and AI-enabled learning approaches within a dual sector university environment.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience using data and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex digital education and technology concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated expertise in the implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of digital learning systems and environments.
- Solid skills in reporting, briefing writing,



and presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance groups.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, accessibility, inclusion, and student-centred approaches in digital learning environments.
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant higher education and vocational education regulatory and quality assurance environments.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to policy development, quality improvement initiatives and organisational change relating to digital education, educational technologies, or AI-enabled learning.
- Commitment to the University’s values.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 9. The base salary will be in the range of $126,028.07 - $133,103.08 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $ 147,452.84 - $155,730.60 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
