Momentum is looking for an Allied Health Assistant for our Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Teams. The successful candidate will predominately work with our Neurological and Musculoskeletal clients. You will be working with clients of all ages and functional levels.
Momentum Therapy supports clients with injuries and disabilities to achieve their personal goals. The team provides advanced rehabilitation techniques and specialises in the manufacture and fitting of medical bracing and prosthetic limbs. We are excited to continue and expand on these services with your help.
About the role:
- You will work within a multidisciplinary team alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologist and Prosthetists/Orthotists
- You will support clients with their exercise and rehabilitation programmes prescribed by the treating therapists.
- You may be responsible for ordering equipment and stock management
- You may be required to assist with administration tasks or other activities to assist general organisational functions.
- You will have excellent communication skills, be organised and flexible, adapting to change as required.
Requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (Preferred)
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Check
- Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills - written and verbal - with a strong client focus.
- Ability to escalate client concerns to treating physiotherapist/rehab team leader
- Well developed time management skills
- Experience in exercise prescription & managing groups of patients in a rehabilitation setting
- Valid drivers licence
The position is open to new and experienced Allied Health Assistants
Salary commensurate with experience.
