About the role
We're looking for a reliable, customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team. This is a permanent position, and we're open to either full-time or part-time hours to suit the right candidate. You'll be the friendly face of our showroom — assisting customers, processing sales, and helping keep the store running smoothly.
Your day-to-day
- Welcoming customers and providing helpful, honest product advice
- Processing sales, quotes and payments accurately at the point of sale
- Receiving stock, maintaining displays and keeping the showroom presentable
- Managing basic inventory and assisting with stock ordering
- Liaising with our service department to coordinate customer repairs and pick-ups
- Answering phone and email enquiries in a professional manner
What we're looking for
- A positive, professional attitude and strong customer service skills
- Reliability and a willingness to learn about our product range
- Good communication and basic computer/point-of-sale skills
- An interest in outdoor power equipment, gardening or mechanical products (an advantage, but not essential — full training provided)
- A current driver's licence
- Availability to work Saturday mornings on a rostered basis
