Margaret River Community Centre for Children is a family- and child-centred long day care centre, focusing on inclusivity and interculturalism. Staff provide exceptional care and a quality learning environment, with lots of community and nature-based interactions. Operating from the Margaret River Community Centre, we are a not-for-profit association.

We are looking for a dedicated and qualified full-time Educator to join us in providing this nurturing environment, offering the children outstanding care, a sense of belonging to the broader community and a curiosity to learn. We pride ourselves on our positive work workplace.

Candidates need to have relevant qualifications which meet the AQF or that ACECQA has assessed as equivalent to: Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (equivalent to AQF Certificate IV) with at least 1 years' experience.

Main duties for the Early Childhood Educator (Child Care Worker Non-Group Leader):

• Responsible, in consultation with the Coordinator, for the preparation,



implementation and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program for individual children or groups (including educational and recreational activities plus social development).

• Responsible to the Coordinator for the supervision of students on placement.

• Responsible for ensuring a safe environment is maintained for both staff and children.

• Responsible for ensuring that records are maintained accurately for each child in their care.

• Develop, implement and evaluate daily care routines (including hygiene of children).

• Ensure that the centre or service’s policies and procedures are adhered to.

• Liaise with families.

These roles will be reporting to the Room Leader and the Coordinator.

This is a fulltime (38 hours/week) position.
