As a Research Fellow, you will contribute to innovative traffic psychology and road safety research within the MAIC Griffith University Road Safety Research Collaboration. Working in a state-of-the-art laboratory, you will use technologies such as driving simulation, eye tracking and Hexoskin to support high-quality research outcomes and industry collaboration.
As a Research Fellow you will;
- Conduct laboratory-based and industry-team-oriented research that contributes to the objectives of the MAIC Griffith University Road Safety Research Collaboration.
- Design and deliver qualitative and quantitative research projects, including experimental studies using driving simulation, eye tracking and physiological monitoring technologies.
- Analyse research data and prepare high-quality publications, presentations, reports and milestone deliverables for academic and industry audiences.
- Contribute to securing research funding and developing a strong publication record in high-impact,
peer-reviewed journals.
- Support the supervision and mentoring of higher degree research candidates, Research Assistants and technical staff while ensuring compliance with research ethics, health and safety, and University policies.
This is a fixed term position until 31 December 2027, full time position primarily based at either Griffith University Gold Coast or Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Research Fellow Grade 1 range $91,705 - $107,420 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $107,295 - $125,682 per annum.
