About the Role
We are currently seeking a near or newly qualified Chartered Accountant to join our close-knit, high-performing team and support the delivery of quality statutory financial reporting and audit readiness solutions across a diverse range of large entities, unlocking your potential for growth and impact.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering statutory financial reporting and audit readiness support to a diverse range of clients. With a spotlight on sectors such as Financial Services, Construction, Automotive Dealerships, Energy and Healthcare, you will be at the forefront of delivery and provide invaluable support to our clients during their crucial reporting seasons through structured projects, backed by our processes and technology solutions.
As our portfolio continues to grow through organic expansion, we are excited to welcome a new team member who will contribute significantly to ensuring seamless delivery throughout the bustling 2026 financial reporting season and beyond.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the audit process for large proprietary and listed companies ranging in size and industry, by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions and reporting practices
- Completion of planning schedules, including detailed timelines and engagement planning
- Analysis and documentation of likely audit and accounting standard or broader engagement issues and working with the manager to resolve these
- Collecting relevant financial information from various sources within the organisation and or external to the organisation
- Preparing workpapers to support or year-end delivery, ensuring transactions are properly documented and supported with relevant evidence
- Preparing financial reports that comply with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
- Presenting financial reports to stakeholders in a explicit and understandable manner
- Meeting or exceeding promised delivery timeframes and service quality at all times, and by doing so raising our brand awareness and contributing to the growth of our business
- Continuous improvement: continuously reviewing and improving financial reporting processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness
Skills/Attributes Required:
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, regulations and standards including tax effect accounting
- Strong analytical skills to dissect financial data
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and spreadsheets for financial analysis
- Excellent numerical abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines with the support of experienced managers
- Ethical integrity and professionalism
- Leadership capabilities to mentor and guide junior staff
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends and regulations
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Experience in preparing complex financial reports and applying accounting standards is essential to your success in this role
- CA qualified or near CA qualified (or overseas equivalent)
- Audit experience strongly preferred, otherwise familiarity with and experience of the audit process from the preparer side essential.
Negotiable salary commencing from $90,000 inclusive of superannuation on offer!
