About the role

Falanga & Co is seeking an experienced and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team on a full-time basis in Rhodes, NSW. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial reconciliations, managing payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring all bookkeeping functions are conducted to the highest standards for a range of clients. You will work closely with our accounting team to provide real client solutions and support that informs business decisions and ensures regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

- Recording and reconciling financial transactions in Xero and MYOB

- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including payroll, invoice processing and payment coordination for a range of clients

- Preparing and reviewing bank reconciliations and identifying discrepancies

- Processing payroll information and ensuring accurate employee payment records

- Regular client communication to support compliance obligations and timelines

- Supporting clients with bookkeeping queries and providing exceptional service

- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

What we're looking for

- Certificate III or IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting, or equivalent practical experience

- Proficiency in accounting software packages such as MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks or similar platforms

- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, payroll, accounts payable/receivable processes and reconciliation procedures





- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as communicate with clients regularly on the phone

- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications

- Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

- Previous experience in a public practice accounting firm is essential
