A leading supplier of sensing and measurement technology is seeking a technically minded Sales Engineer to develop and grow business across Queensland. The business represents globally recognised manufacturers and provides technical solutions to industries including mining, energy, water, transport, manufacturing, defence and research.
The Position
Based in Brisbane, you will be responsible for managing key customer relationships while identifying and securing new opportunities throughout Queensland.
This role combines technical consulting with business development, allowing you to work closely with engineers, project managers and technical stakeholders to deliver tailored sensing, instrumentation and data acquisition solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with existing customers
- Identify and convert new business opportunities across Queensland
- Understand technical requirements and provide fit-for-purpose solutions
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations
- Provide pre and post-sales technical support
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
- Travel throughout Queensland to support customers and projects
- Attend manufacturer training programs and industry events
About You
You are naturally curious, technically capable and enjoy building long-term customer relationships. Whether your background is engineering, technical services or industrial sales, you're confident discussing technical concepts and helping customers solve real-world problems.
- Engineering or trade qualification essential
- Previous engineering or technical industry experience preferred
- Solid communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously across a defined territory
- Customer-focused and commercially minded
- Passion for solving technical challenges
