We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Weighbridge Administration Assistant to support the day-to-day operation of Waste Depot which is located in Minnamurra.

Key responsibilities as Administration Assistant…
As Administrative Assistant at our Waste Depot, you’ll accurately operate the weighbridge system to record vehicle weights, communicate effectively with customers to ensure that materials being dropped off are permissible, and provide administrative support to Council’s Waste Services. This role involves the delivery of prompt and responsive customer service to the public, other authorities, and internal stakeholders, while promoting the image of Councils Waste Services as an efficient, courteous, qualified, and innovative service.

What we offer...

- Temporary full-time role, 35 hours per week, for a period of nine months with the possibility of extension for up to twelve months
- Commencing weekly salary from $1,198.65 to $1,321.51
(salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
- Annual performance-based progression opportunity to earn up to $1456.97 per week
- Plus 12% superannuation
- Penalties and allowances paid in accordance with the award

What you'll need to be successful in the role...




The ideal candidate will demonstrate confident communication and qualified writing abilities to maintain accuracy across all reports, emails, and records. We require a proactive individual with exceptional attention to detail who is consistently punctual and reliable. In addition to this, it’s essential that you have:

- A minimum 2 years of administrative experience in an office, customer service, or business support environment
- Proficiency with common office software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or equivalent tools
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- The ability to learn new software or internal systems quickly
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.

Although not required, it would be beneficial to have any of the following:

- Proficiency in MS Office, databases and spreadsheets
- Cash handling experience including calculating fees and balance takings
- The ability to operate a Weighbridge computer system.
