An established technical solutions provider is seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to develop business across South Australia. The organisation supplies high-precision sensing and measurement technologies to customers operating in manufacturing, defence, infrastructure, mining, water and industrial sectors.
The Position
This Adelaide-based role offers the opportunity to combine technical knowledge with consultative selling. You will partner with customers to understand their testing, monitoring and measurement requirements while delivering tailored technical solutions.
Working across South Australia, you will manage existing relationships, uncover new opportunities and support customers throughout the full sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an established customer portfolio throughout SA
- Generate new business opportunities across industrial sectors
- Recommend technical solutions based on customer requirements
- Provide product and application support
- Build relationships with engineers, technicians and procurement teams
- Deliver quotations, proposals and technical presentations
- Maintain territory plans and CRM activity
- Support customers through implementation and after-sales service
About You
You enjoy engaging with technical stakeholders and translating complex requirements into practical solutions. You're equally comfortable discussing engineering applications, building customer relationships and pursuing commercial opportunities.
- Engineering or trade qualification essential
- Technical or engineering industry experience preferred
- Solid relationship-building and networking skills
- Self-motivated with strong organisational abilities
- Consultative sales approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
