This is a Part-time, Fixed term role until 27 February 2027.

SuniTAFE is looking for a motivated and reliable Chef - Cook to join our team at Nexus Cafe in the Mildura campus. In this Fixed Term role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of fresh meals, maintaining high food quality standards, and ensuring a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, managing food preparation, stock control, and cleanliness while delivering excellent service to students, staff, and visitors. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in preparing creative and quality meals, and delivering exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare, cook, and present a range of high-quality meals and food items.
- Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and stock rotation.
- Work collaboratively with café and kitchen team members to deliver a positive customer experience.
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, policies, and procedures.

The successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A criminal record check (less than 6 months old).
- A valid working with children check.
This position is open to Australian residents only or those with current working rights in Australia.
