Your recent company
Hays Recruitment is partnering with a respected Tasmanian organisation to recruit a Manager - Asset Reliability & HSE. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety and compliance of assets, fleet and operational environments across multiple sites.
Your new role
Based in Hobart with regular travel to northern Tasmania, you will be responsible for leading the organisation's asset reliability, fleet management and health, safety and environmental functions. You will develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies, oversee contractor and supplier performance, manage spare parts and inventory programmes and ensure fleet operations remain compliant and efficient. You will also drive continuous improvement across HSE systems, ensuring compliance with relevant WHS legislation, environmental regulations and quality standards. Working closely with operational leaders, you will embed a proactive safety culture, lead investigations and risk management activities and provide regular reporting to executive leadership.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated experience in asset management, maintenance leadership, fleet operations, safety or compliance management within an industrial, manufacturing, logistics, utilities or related operational environment. You will have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance methodologies, contractor management and regulatory compliance, along with excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Experience working with ISO-certified management systems, continuous improvement initiatives and operational leadership teams will be highly regarded. Relevant engineering, asset management or related qualifications are desirable but not essential.
