Venue Productions is seeking a motivated and reliable team member to join our event crew.

No two days are the same. One day you may be installing chandeliers and draping in a wedding venue, while the next could involve preparing equipment for a job, transforming a venue with fairy lights, or assisting with the setup of a corporate event.

About the Role

The role involves a combination of event installation, event pack-down, equipment preparation and organising/sorting of equipment post event.

Key responsibilities include:

- Bump-in and bump-out of events

- Installation of event styling elements including draping, fairy lights, festoon lighting, pendants, chandeliers, and decorative features

- Loading and unloading of vehicles

- Picking and packing equipment for upcoming events

- Maintaining a clean, organised space

- Assisting with event setup and on-site problem solving

- Equipment maintenance and basic repairs where appropriate

- Working safely at heights using ladders and access equipment

- Occasional setup and operation of basic audio, visual and lighting equipment

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, dependable and takes pride in their work.

The ideal candidate will:

- Hold a current driver’s licence (required)

- Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude

- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment

- Be willing to adapt to changing schedules, venues, and event requirements

- Have exceptional attention to detail

- Take pride in producing high-quality work





- Understand the importance of presentation and finishing details

- Be able to work independently and as part of a team

- Be reliable, punctual, and professional

- Be physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks

- Be comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights

- Have a practical, hands-on approach to problem solving

- Be willing to learn new skills and equipment

Experience in the events industry is highly regarded but not essential. Experience with basic audio, visual or lighting equipment is beneficial but training can be provided to the right person.

Working Hours

This is a full time position.

Due to the nature of the events industry, working hours vary significantly throughout the year. Peak wedding/event season can involve substantial overtime and extended hours, while quieter periods may involve reduced workloads.

Work may include:

- Early morning starts

- Day shifts

- Evening shifts

- Overnight installations

- Weekend work

Flexibility is essential for this role.
