- $200–$350+ per hour, depending on experience, consult volume and engagement

About the Opportunities

Change Medical is partnering with several established Australian telehealth providers seeking Medical Practitioners, General Practitioners and relevant Specialists with experience in alternative prescribing pathways and virtual care.

We are currently recruiting practitioners who have experience as Authorised Prescribers, have worked within the Special Access Scheme (SAS) framework, or are interested in expanding into this area with appropriate clinical governance and support.

Our clients provide comprehensive onboarding, established clinical governance, administrative support and modern telehealth platforms, allowing practitioners to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Multiple opportunities are available, ranging from several sessions each week through to full-time consulting.

The Role

Depending on the clinic, responsibilities may include:

- Conducting telehealth consultations

- Comprehensive patient assessment

- Determining patient suitability for treatment options in accordance with Australian regulations and clinical guidelines

- Developing individualised management plans

- Ongoing patient monitoring and follow-up consultations

- Reviewing pathology and relevant clinical investigations where appropriate

- Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation

- Practising within established governance and compliance frameworks

About You

Applications are welcomed from:

- General Practitioners

- Medical Practitioners

- Relevant Medical Specialists

Applicants should possess:

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration

- Fellowship of RACGP and/or ACRRM (or equivalent specialist registration where applicable)

- Eligibility to prescribe Schedule 4 and Schedule 8 medicines where appropriate

- Professional indemnity insurance

- Excellent communication and patient-centred consultation skills

- Comfortable consulting via telehealth

- Reliable internet connection and private consulting environment

Desirable Experience

Highly regarded experience includes:

- Telehealth consulting

- Authorised Prescriber status

- Special Access Scheme (SAS) prescribing

- Alternative prescribing pathways

- Chronic disease management

- Pain management

- Palliative care

- General practice

- Integrative or preventative healthcare

Practitioners without previous experience in this area are encouraged to enquire, as several clients provide structured onboarding and clinical support for suitable candidates.
