About the role

Punjab Automotive Garage is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team in Caboolture, QLD. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standard. As a Motor Mechanic, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our clients receive reliable and professional service. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to the reputation and success of our garage.

What you'll be doing

- Diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and mechanical knowledge to identify issues accurately

- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and general servicing

- Repair and replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems and electrical parts

- Conduct inspections and pre-delivery checks to ensure vehicles meet safety and quality standards

- Operate specialised tools and equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining workshop standards

- Communicate clearly with customers about vehicle issues, repair options and costs

- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work completed

- Adhere to health and safety regulations and workshop best practices

- Support team members and contribute to a collaborative working environment

What we're looking for

- Recognised automotive trade qualification or equivalent experience as a qualified mechanic

- Current driver's licence and willingness to test drive vehicles when required

- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and modern automotive technology

- Strong technical knowledge of engine, transmission, electrical and brake systems

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team





- Good communication skills and customer service orientation

- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy components safely

- Reliability and a strong work ethic

- Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models is advantageous
