What You’ll Do

- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across a range of heavy vehicles, plant and equipment.

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.

- Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain fleet reliability.

- Attend breakdowns and carry out field service repairs when required.

- Complete inspections, testing and reporting to ensure equipment remains protected and compliant.

- Work closely with operations teams to prioritise repairs and keep projects moving.





- Assist with identifying ongoing maintenance improvements and fleet reliability issues.

- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop and work environment.

What We’re Looking For

- Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.

- Experience working on heavy vehicles, civil plant, road construction equipment or similar machinery.

- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

- Automotive electrical knowledge and fault-finding capability.

- Good understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the role.

- Strong commitment to safety, quality of work and reliability.

- Current C Class driver’s licence.

Desirable But Not Essential

- HR or MC licence.

- Experience with auto electrical repairs and diagnostics.

- Experience on asphalt plant, pavers, rollers, bobcats, skid steers, profilers, trucks or related equipment.

- Welding and fabrication ability.

- Air-conditioning ticket or experience.

- Field service or breakdown response experience.

- Experience using diagnostic software and modern plant electronics.
