Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior engineers to observe and participate in the preparation of engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software, following industry standards and building codes.
- Assist in performing basic calculations and simulations under supervision, to support the analysis of structural designs.
- Participate in hands‑on tasks to develop core engineering skills, including structural analysis and exposure to geotechnical engineering concepts.
- Support in researching current materials, technologies, and engineering practices to improve design efficiency and sustainability while the intern gains meaningful learning experience.
- Assist in preparing technical documentation, presentations, and reports, ensuring the focus is on learning how to communicate technical findings for internal and external stakeholders.
- Attend meetings and presentations to discuss the progress, issues, and outcomes of engineering projects with supervisors, clients, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and team members to assist in coordinating tasks, sharing information, and addressing any issues, fostering effective teamwork and learning.
Qualifications and Skills
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Civil Engineering program in a reputed university in Australia with an internship as a required part of the curriculum.
- Must have working rights in Australia.
- Strong passion for structural engineering and a keen interest in contributing to innovative projects.
