Duties and Responsibilities
- Review illustrations and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials required; select and install roof sheeting and wall cladding; construct and install roof drainage components and external flashings.
- Install roof components, composite roof systems and roof coverings to curved roof structures.
- Repair insulation to roofs, corrugated roof sheeting to trusses, and composite sheet roofing to outdoor living areas.
- Erect steel framework for outdoor living areas.
- Attend work during arranged hours at various locations to complete practical on‑the‑job training.
- Install, commission,
maintain and test roofs in all classes of buildings and premises.
- Perform work under supervision either individually or in a team setting.
- Perform tasks safely, identify and minimise hazards within sphere of work.
- Other duties as required subject to skill, experience and training.
Requirements
- Certificate III in Roof Plumbing
- At least 2 years of experience as a Roof Plumber
- Ability to work at heights and in various site conditions
- Solid commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Conditions
Work is performed at various construction sites across Sydney and the surrounding areas and involves working at heights and in outdoor conditions.
