Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of advanced computer vision systems to process and analyse images and videos for high-stakes applications like object detection, recognition, and tracking.
Develop, optimise, and oversee algorithms and machine learning models for complex tasks such as image segmentation, classification, and feature extraction.
Integrate sophisticated computer vision solutions with hardware, software, and AI frameworks to enable real-time processing and deployment in demanding environments.
Prototype, test, debug, and scale vision-based applications, ensuring robustness, accuracy, and reliability under agile conditions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers to translate client needs into custom computer vision solutions, from strategic concept to production rollout.
Document methodologies, contribute to knowledge sharing, and drive innovation within the team through leadership and best practices.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on AI, machine learning, or computer vision.
7-10 years of experience in a similar role, with proven track record in leading and delivering complex computer vision projects.
A comprehensive portfolio of evidence showcasing past projects, achievements, and contributions in computer vision.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++, along with libraries like OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms,
deep learning frameworks, and computer vision techniques (e.g., CNNs, object detection).
Extensive experience with data handling, including annotation, augmentation, and managing large visual datasets.
Ability to work autonomously on high-impact projects, with a passion for solving real-world problems through innovative vision tech.

Proven experience applying computer vision technologies in harsh industrial environments such as aluminium smelters, mining operations, or heavy metals processing (highly regarded).
