The Client: Our client has been in operation since 2005 and has been industry-leading in providing creative insurance options to the market and providing expert guidance to their client base. The company is looking to grow after experiencing significant growth and is focused on finding excellent underwriting talent to join its growing teams.

This liability underwriter position is focused on providing underwriting services and qualified support to the company and assist brokers, management and other team members on a day to day basis.

Key Responsibilities

- Underwriting of current business and renewal policies in accordance with the specified underwriting guidelines, authority and rating directives
- Present policy recommendations and options to brokers
- Preparation and issuance of recent business,



renewals and endorsement documentation
- Taking queries from brokers and attend to the relevant requests
- Monitor and develop the skills of junior staff wherever possible
- Liaise with brokers and business partners at broker meetings and industry functions

Experience and skills required

- A minimum of 2 years experience working in an underwriting role working with liability lines
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to both build relationships and influence at all levels.
- Ideally, hold tertiary qualifications to fulfil role duties
- A passion for learning and challenge
