Only About Children Highett is a beautiful two-level campus situated conveniently on Highett Road. The campus boasts natural lighting, large learning environments, spacious outdoor environments, and thoughtful age‑specific rooms for children to explore and learn.

We are looking to welcome an experienced Assistant Director to our team at OAC Highett. This role takes responsibility for supporting the Campus Director to deliver operational service and quality to our children, team members and families. The Assistant Director will lead the team in day‑to‑day operations ensuring that Campus Quality Framework and WH&S; requirements are met. As an Assistant Director, you will spend time on the floor supporting the team, with dedicated time off the floor to support the Campus Director.

About The Role

- Be a positive role model through coaching and mentoring team members
- Ensure every child is able to engage with educators through meaningful & open interactions
- Ensure ongoing, professional and timely communication between the campus and families
- Ensure the campus is protected for our children, team, families and visitors
- Provide childcare services that comply with the national regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF), and support the Early Years Learning Framework

Qualifications

- Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care
- Working with Children Check
- Experience in a leadership role
- Knowledge of relevant Early Childhood frameworks & regulations
- Strong understanding of mandatory reporting obligations
- Strategic and innovative thinking
- Strong resilience with the ability to adapt to change and face challenges with a positive mindset
- Experience in building and maintaining positive team culture
