In the position you will

- play a lead role in supporting our nursing function by setting the standard required for clinical teaching and professional nursing assistance with clinical cases
- provide leadership and supervision for nurses across all services in the hospital, including equine, livestock, small animals, wildlife, diagnostic imaging and specialty clinics




- create an engaging learning experience for DVM students on their clinical rotation by both considering approaches that could best assist students and setting direction for nursing staff as they provide these insights
- approach patient treatment and care with compassion and empathy

About you

- a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
- at least 3 years experience in a veterinary hospital is required
- demonstrated experience in the leadership, supervision, training, mentoring and performance management of staff
- vibrant and enthusiastic, with a strong sense of teamwork
- kind and compassionate towards people and their animals alike
- a robust communicator who can provide excellent customer service
- professional, hardworking, and committed to providing exceptional patient care
- a keen interest in training and teaching
