Dental Assistant – Receptionist

Location: Bupa Dental Helensvale

Employment Type: Part Time (2 shifts)

Working Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & rotating Saturdays.

Practice: 5 Chair.

Role Overview

Supports safe clinical care and dental procedures, ensuring infection control standards are met and providing chair‑side and administrative assistance to dental professionals.

Responsibilities

- Provide chair‑side assistance to dental professionals, including use of suction, passing instruments and materials, mixing techniques, and assisting with x‑ray procedures.
- Clean and prepare treatment rooms, dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring sterilisation and processing meet BDC procedures.
- Follow service quality standards, work health and safety policies, and other relevant procedures.
- Assist with appointment scheduling, including booking, cancellation, rebooking and confirmation.
- Manage appointment bookings, billing, payment processes, records and document management.
- Answer patient queries promptly and professionally.
- Support the delivery of safe clinical care and contribute to patient care goals.

Qualifications





- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of dental equipment, infection control and x‑ray procedures.
- Ability to assist dental professionals at chair side with a high level of competence.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work with a medium level of accountability or discretion.
- Working with Children Check permit required.
