The Chance

We are seeking a Mine Ventilation Technician to join our Underground Mining team.

This role reports to the Underground Mining Engineer for Projects and Infrastructure and is based at Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8‑days‑on/6‑days‑off FIFO roster, with direct flights provided to site from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.

Responsibilities

- Monitor the underground ventilation system to ensure a secure working atmosphere for all employees
- Audit ventilation infrastructure to ensure compliance with approved ventilation plans
- Prepare and distribute ventilation plans
- Provide ventilation‑specific input into mine plans and schedules




- Complete statutory ventilation surveys of the primary and secondary ventilation networks
- Manage the secondary fan register and arrange maintenance and change‑outs as required
- Assist with underground infrastructure and project work as directed

Qualifications

- Willingness to be part of a diverse team comprising technical and operational personnel
- Good communication skills
- Confidence to provide input and encourage discussion
- Enthusiastic attitude towards fulfilling key accountabilities
- Ability to work in an underground mine
- C Class Driver's Licence
- Full permanent working rights in Australia
