- SA Pathology, Port Augusta
- Indicative Total Remuneration: $28,449 - $53,033 (pro rata) - Perm P/T (18.75 hrs p/wk) - OPS1
Joining the team at SA Pathology, you will contribute to effective and efficient laboratory services within the regional Port Augusta laboratory. Performing accurate data entry, sorting and accessioning specimens according to set protocols, you will assist with preparatory duties, storage and transport of specimens. You will be required to manage internal and external customer enquiries effectively and professionally, as well as assisting with diagnostic tests as directed and in accordance with established laboratory methods, and may be required to load analysers.
You will take part in collecting blood samples from adults, children and infants, and collect samples such as urine, swabs, skin and breath for analysis. Holding or working towards or willing to work towards a Certificate III in Pathology, you will need to be able to work as part of a team and show empathy and understanding towards patients. Good manual dexterity and typing skills will be essential, along with excellent communication skills and an understanding of patient confidentiality. Your ability to determine priorities, organise workload accordingly and work independently will hold you in good stead for this role.
