Family Medical Centre Auburn is seeking a General Practice Nurse (New Grads welcome) to join our healthcare team on a part time basis. Based in Auburn, NSW, this role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic general practice setting. As a General Practice Nurse, you will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of primary healthcare services, working alongside our team of healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive excellent care and support throughout their medical journey.
Part-time flexibility for one day during the week and Sundays, New Grads welcome training will be provided.
What you'll be doing
1. Performing clinical nursing procedures including blood pressure monitoring, blood tests, wound care and dressing changes
2. Administering immunisations and vaccines in accordance with national immunisation schedules and protocols
3. Supporting patients with chronic disease management and health monitoring programs
4. Conducting patient health assessments and collecting vital signs
5. Providing patient education and health promotion advice across a range of health topics
6. Maintaining accurate and timely patient records in accordance with privacy legislation and practice protocols
7. Assisting doctors during consultations and procedures as required
8. Ensuring the clinical environment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control
9. Contributing to the smooth operation of the practice through effective communication and teamwork
10. Managing clinical equipment and ensuring supplies are adequately stocked

What we're looking for
1. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse
2. A relevant nursing qualification recognised in Australia
3. Demonstrated experience working as a nurse in general practice or primary care settings
4.
Strong clinical knowledge and practical skills in general nursing procedures
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds
6. A commitment to maintaining professional development and staying current with nursing best practices
7. Knowledge of infection control and occupational health and safety standards
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
9. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
10. Current immunisation training or willingness to obtain certification
11. Familiarity with general practice software and electronic health record systems is advantageous
