About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Ministry Team Leader to facilitate The Salvation Army Mission and local area mission plans in the Pakenham area.

Reporting to the Corps Officer, this is a permanent, part-time (13 hours per week) position based in Pakenham, Victoria.

You will successfully- Coordinate all current and new engagement opportunities between the Corps and Doorways and other community partner organisations in line with The Salvation Army Mission.- Develop faith pathways and facilitate opportunities that provide places of belonging and nurture for the Pakenham Community.- Be responsible for governance, strategy and compliance of Pakenham Corps and its implementation.- Oversee the Finances, Property, People resourcing and WHS compliance and will be responsible for ensuring that communication occurs with the relevant THQ/DHQ departments and contacts, and compliance is maintained.

You will have- A Diploma of theology, ministry, or significant demonstrated equivalent relevant experience,



knowledge and skills.- A strong commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army; a solid understanding of The Salvation Army’s doctrines and principles, and a life-style reflective of that commitment.- A current and valid Victoria Working with Children Check.- A current and valid Victoria Driver Licence.- The ability to disciple an individual on the journey to and with Jesus, offer pastoral assistance and prayer.- Self-motivation and demonstrate a high level of initiative.- Sound communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact positively with a variety of people.- Experience in community engagement in the non-for-profit sector.- The ability to work with volunteers.- The ability to offer holistic support across a number of life domains.
