**About Us**:
Located at Castlemaine, Loddon Prison is a 477 bed Medium Security Prison for sentenced male prisoners. Adjacent to Loddon Prison is Middleton, a 236 bed Restricted Minimum Security Prison for sentenced male prisoners.
The focus of both prisons is rehabilitation via individual case management, employment, education, training and also the provision of programs and targeted interventions to address offending behaviour and promote the development of prosocial behaviour. Both prisons provide contemporary and quality correctional services that prepare prisoners for transition and reintegration. Loddon Prison and Middleton emphasises the principles of a Healthy Prison and strongly recognises cultural diversity, respecting individual religious, spiritual, and cultural beliefs.
**About the Role**:
The Program Coordinator role is to assist in development, implementation and evaluation of evidence based programs, according to current correctional philosophies, legislative requirements, prison policies and correctional standards.
The program coordinator will work as part of the Loddon Prison and Middleton Offender Services Team to deliver programs and services to offenders and stakeholders in a secure and positive environment.
The role involves direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Agreement.
Some of your duties will include:
- Developing and contributing to informed program planning and program delivery within the region,
in consultation with the Offender Services Manager.
- Managing and co-ordinating referrals, waiting lists and resources for all offence-specific and offence -related prisoner programs as identified through the Offender Management Framework.
- Being responsible for coordinating, scheduling and facilitating personal development programs in consultation with internal and external stakeholders where necessary for effective service delivery.

**About You**:
- Knowledge of and experience in dealing with the limitations imposed on offenders in a correctional environment.
- Demonstrated experience in both facilitating and coordinating prison based programs (highly desirable).
- Qualifications:_
- A relevant tertiary qualification in the human services, or welfare fields is desirable.
