Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Purchasing & Stores Manager to join our small team at our Midvale head office.

This role will manage and facilitate the procurement and stock strategy for our business operations.

Responsible for supervising and managing the purchasing and stores teams so as to maintain efficiency and provide valuable service delivery throughout the company. Ability to develop and maintain the best available source of supply to provide cost-effectiveness through our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
Supplier optimisation and relationship building including implementing and optimising end-to-end procurement processes
Review and negotiation of new and existing supplier agreements
Review key contracts for freight and other logístical services to drive cost improvements and performance
Build positive internal relationships
Create and maintain long term forecasts with stakeholders




Negotiate with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements
Manage and define a storage strategy in the warehouse including a move to new premises at our greenfield Hazelmere site.
Control and oversee rolling stocktakes on all sites
Facilitate and deliver procurement processes throughout Purchasing, Stores and other Wallis Drilling divisions

Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a busy environment.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
Able to establish project schedules and respect budgets.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite and ideally, experience in PRONTO.
5+ years experience in a senior management role
Solid experience in complex manufacturing and procurement environments.
