Head Chef - Curly's Café, Mount Coolum

Curly's Café is looking for an experienced and passionate **Head Chef** to lead our kitchen team in beautiful Mount Coolum on the Sunshine Coast.

We're a well-established local café known for great coffee, fresh food, and genuine hospitality. As we continue to evolve, we're seeking a hands-on leader who can bring creativity, consistency, and strong operational skills to our kitchen.

About the Role

As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for:

- Leading and mentoring the kitchen team
- Managing daily kitchen operations
- Menu development and seasonal specials
- Food costing and maintaining GP targets
- Stock ordering and supplier management
- Ensuring food safety and compliance standards are met
- Driving consistency, quality, and efficiency across all services
- Managing labour costs and kitchen rostering

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Has previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
- Thrives in a fast-paced café environment




- Has strong leadership and communication skills
- Understands food costing, stock control, and labour management
- Is passionate about quality food and customer experience
- Brings a positive attitude and leads by example
- Holds relevant food safety qualifications
