Who We Are:

Flourishing Life Psychology is a small, yet rapidly expanding private psychology clinic in Port Macquarie, dedicated to helping clients flourish and make meaningful, positive changes. We provide psychological support to children, adolescents, and adults across the region. As our client base continues to grow, we are seeking an additional psychologist to help manage the increasing demand.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a sub-contracting psychologist who has experience in supporting individuals across the lifespan. Having experience in supporting children and adolescents would be advantageous.

About The Role

As part of this role, you will deliver high-standard, evidence-based therapeutic interventions for clients of all ages. Strong counselling expertise is essential, with an expectation to go beyond standard cognitive-behavioural techniques and incorporate a broader range of therapeutic methods. Outside of client sessions, you will be responsible for maintaining clear and professional communication with GPs, specialists, and other allied health professionals.

We offer flexibility around working days and hours to accommodate the right candidate.

Selection Criteria

- Current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA).
- Eligible to obtain a Medicare Provider Number.
- Proven experience and dedication to working with children, adolescents, and their families.
- Ability to work as an independent contractor, holding an ABN and relevant Professional and Public Liability Insurance.
- Capable of functioning autonomously while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong critical judgement and analytical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to build rapport with clients.
- Excellent time management skills and clear communication abilities.
- Proficiency in computer use and general technology skills.
