Gracepoint Christian Church is affiliated with the Baptist Churches of NSW & ACT. It is a welcoming community located in Botany, that seeks to help people encounter Jesus and follow Him. Our Spirit‑led services are relaxed, creative, and authentic – creating space for genuine encounter with God.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting time in Gracepoint’s story. Following our faithful period of transition and reflection, we are seeking a Senior Pastor to guide us into our next season. Our Youth ministry is thriving, and we’re actively serving our Botany community through meaningful outreach, God at work in fresh and authentic ways.

Gracepoint is developing a Five‑fold ministry culture based on Ephesians 4:11‑13. We’re seeking a leader who can nurture this vision and grow our community‑focused ministries. This person will shepherd our dedicated, diverse congregation with both a pastoral heart and strategic vision.

Who We’re Seeking

Required:

- a growing personal relationship with Jesus
- theological training and leadership experience appropriate for a Senior Pastor in a church
- minimum five years’ experience in leading ministry teams
- a strong leader with a pastoral heart




- no restrictions to working in Australia
- eligible to be an Accredited or Recognised Minister with the Baptist Association of NSW & ACT

Desired Characteristics:

- flexible; open to different ways of “doing” church (such as a Five‑fold ministry)
- able to inspire, include and work with people
- a positive communicator
- enthusiastic; energetic

He or she will be passionate about:

- God’s word and the work of the Holy Spirit
- vision and strategy
- the priesthood of all believers
- mentoring/discipling people
- working with diverse, multicultural groups

Key Responsibilities

- leading the Elders in seeking God’s revelation for the church’s future direction
- nurturing clear understanding of our mission and values amongst all members
- fostering vision, direction and training in ministry leaders
- actively encouraging evangelism locally and internationally
- overseeing our staff team and completing administration specific to the role
- preaching and providing pastoral care

Stipend set by Gracepoint’s Finance Team in consultation with the Elders, aligned with Baptist Association of NSW & ACT recommendations, reviewed annually. Five weeks annual leave.
