Rockhampton Girls Grammar School is one of the original eight Grammar Schools of Queensland. Opening in 1892, Girls Grammar has served and supported the education of girls and young women for over 130 years.

THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a Director of Advancement to commence for an immediate start.
Employment Type: Permanent Part Time - Full Time (to be negotiated with interested applicants)
This is a new position following a review of the current structure at Rockhampton Girls Grammar School.

POSITION OBJECTIVE The Director of Advancement is responsible for the strategic leadership, analysis and optimisation of Rockhampton Girls Grammar School’s enrolment pipeline and community engagement lifecycle, ensuring sustained growth, strong conversion and long-term retention.
As a key strategic role within the School, the Director of Advancement leverages data intelligence, market insights and relationship mapping to inform decision-making and future planning. This role ensures enrolment growth is intentional, evidence-based and aligned with the School’s strategic direction, capacity and market positioning.
Working in close partnership with the Marketing & Events Manager and Executive Leadership Team, the Director of Advancement aligns demand generation with conversion and retention strategy, ensuring a cohesive and high-impact journey from initial engagement through to enrolment and long-term connection.

EXPECTED KNOWLEDGE, ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate insight into action

- Strong understanding of market dynamics and enrolment drivers within education
- Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships
- Capacity to operate at both a strategic and analytical level
- High levels of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
- A proactive, forward-thinking mindset focused on growth and continuous improvement
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, modelling and dashboard creation
- Solid proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams), with the ability to produce high-quality reports, presentations and communications
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS Promote Rockhampton Girls Grammar School inside and outside the school community.
The successful application is required to:
- demonstrate experience in a strategic, analytical or advancement-focused role
- hold a valid Blue Card from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian or be eligible to obtain one
- hold a current, valid Driver Licence.
