The Opportunity
Beaconsfield Mitre 10 is looking for a passionate and motivated Nursery Manager to lead and grow our nursery department.
This is a hands-on role, suited to someone with strong plant knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for creating an engaging retail environment.
This is a full-time position and includes weekend work.
You will be responsible for the day-to-do operations and presentation of our nursery department, ensuring customers receive outstanding service and expert advise while maintaining high standards across plant care and stock presentation.
Immediate start available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
· Providing exceptional customer service and plant advice
· Ordering plant stock and managing inventory levels
· Liaising with plant suppliers and representatives
· Maintaining presentation and merchandising of nursery stock
· Watering and irrigation management
· General maintenance and care of plant health including weeding
· Supporting overall retail operations as required
· Follow safe work practices and contribute to a positive team workplace
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
· Previous horticulture or nursery experience
· Previous retail experience
· Strong knowledge of plants and garden care
· Exceptional communication and customer service skills
· The ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
· A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
· Basic computer skills
· Availability to work weekends
