Williamstown Hostel (on Bunurong Country) located close to Melbourne’s CBD offers affordable, high-quality accommodation to people aged 50 years and over. We provide a safe, versatile and caring family-style environment, which allows residents to maintain their chosen lifestyles, habits and activities and to be as independent as they choose to be.

**Your new role**

We are currently seeking a proactive Personal Care Assistant (with the ability to administer medications) to join our friendly and dynamic residential team at our Williamstown Hostel on a Casual Basis. Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit community, fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care.

**Your responsibilities and duties will include**:

- Assisting residents with personal care including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and other activities of daily living
- Observing and reporting changes in resident’s behaviour or physical condition




- Undertaking medication management and treatment procedures as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge
- Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs
- Providing emotional support to residents.
- Ability to work both in team and autonomously.
- Certificate III/IV in Aged Care/Individual Support
- Completion of medication administration unit (HLTHPS006 - Assist Clients with Medication)
- Prior experience in housing & homelessness support, aged care, welfare, disability support, mental health or community/home care
- Keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to enhance or maintain our residents independence and lifestyle
- A friendly and non-judgmental attitude
