Internal Sales Representative - A Wood Shed (Darra Store)
A Wood Shed is a family-owned Timber, Hardware & Building Supplies business with Locations at Darra and Brassall. The Darra team are looking for an Internal Sales Representative who bring real timber industry knowledge, a self-starter attitude, and genuine drive to grow sales. If you enjoy building relationships, helping customers find the right solutions, and being part of a supportive team where your contribution matters, we would love to hear from you.
About the role
This is a hands-on internal sales position focused on building customer relationships, converting quotations into sales, and identifying opportunities within our existing and prospective customer base. Working closely with our Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales growth, strengthening customer relationships, and contributing to the success of our Darra store. Based at our front counter, you will be a key point of contact for trade and retail customers seeking product advice and support.

What you'll be doing
- Managing customer enquiries and providing accurate product advice across our range
- Preparing and following up quotes in a timely manner
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with current and existing customers
- Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing customer base
- Processing sales orders and invoices in line with company procedures
- Working closely with the Sales Manager to hit individual and store KPIs
- Liaising with yard, dispatch and other departments on stock, pricing and account queries
What we're looking for
- Timber industry experience is highly valued : You know the products and can talk the talk with trade customers
- A genuine sales mindset: You are self-motivated, target-aware, and proactive
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-first approach
- Confident communicator: Both on the phone and face to face
- Experience with sales or administration systems
- Someone who takes initiative and manages their time well
