Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate General Practitioner to join our team as a locum in the month of January. As a General Practitioner at Maroubra Family Doctors, you will play a vital role in providing primary healthcare services to our patients. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, as well as managing chronic diseases and promoting preventive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient consultations and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Provide counseling and education to patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices through continued education and training
Qualifications and Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Prior experience as a General Practitioner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
