About the Client : SMG FACADE PTY LTD SMG Facade Pty Ltd is a NSW-based façade specialist delivering end-to-end façade solutions across Australia. We provide design coordination, procurement, installation, compliance, and maintenance services for curtain walls, windows, doors, cladding, balustrades, louvres, screens, and skylight systems. With a focus on quality, safety, and NCC compliance, SMG Facade manages projects from concept to completion.

SMG Façade Pty Ltd is looking for Civil Engineers(multiple openings) to join their team. Position Summary Plan, design, coordinate, and manage civil and façade-related engineering activities for commercial, residential, education, health, and government construction projects. Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepare engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation for construction projects.
- Review architectural, structural, and façade drawings for compliance and constructability.
- Conduct engineering assessments relating to façade systems, glazing, cladding, and building envelopes.
- Coordinate with architects, builders, façade consultants, and subcontractors.
- Assist in the preparation of design reports, specifications, and engineering submissions.
- Review wind load reports, structural requirements, and compliance documentation.




- Monitor project progress and provide engineering support during construction.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports.
- Identify engineering risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Assist with procurement and technical evaluation of construction materials and systems.
- Ensure compliance with NCC, Australian Standards, and project requirements.
- Support project managers with planning, scheduling, and cost-control activities.
- Prepare RFIs, technical clarifications, and engineering correspondence.
- Liaise with certifiers, consultants, and regulatory authorities when required.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control processes.

Skills Required:

- Civil engineering design and documentation
- Structural and façade coordination
- AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, or similar software
- Engineering calculations and technical reporting
- Project coordination and site inspections
- Australian Standards and NCC compliance

Experience and Qualification required:

- Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience in construction or related field
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil) or higher qualification
- Robust understanding of civil construction methodologies and site operations
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on and site-based environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
