Swan Valley Anglican Community School is a vibrant co-educational school offering high-quality holistic education from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities teacher to join our dynamic Secondary School team in Semester 2, 2026. Reporting to the Head of Humanities, the successful candidate will be an innovative educator with a proven ability to engage and inspire students across Years 7–10, delivering high-quality, future-focused Humanities curriculum. The ability to teach Year 11 and 12 ATAR Modern History is highly regarded.
As part of a collaborative and enthusiastic Humanities Department, you will contribute to a learning culture that fosters students’ understanding of human behaviour, social structures, history, geography, and civic responsibility through engaging and thought-provoking learning experiences. You will create inclusive and supportive learning environments that promote critical thinking, historical inquiry, literacy development, and academic excellence. About You
You are a compassionate and organised educator who brings:
· A Bachelor of Education (or equivalent) and current TRBWA registration
· Ability to teach ATAR Modern History an advantage
· Demonstrated experience teaching Humanities across Years 7 to 10
· Strong knowledge of the Western Australian Humanities curriculum
· Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
· Understanding of assessment strategies and data-informed instruction
· Collaborative approach to curriculum planning and professional development
· Willingness to support the Mission, Vision and Ethos and Core Values of Swan Valley Anglican Community School
