Position Overview

The Grocery Team Member is responsible for ensuring the smooth daily tasks of the grocery department

This includes receiving, filling, product rotation, merchandising, cleanliness and customer service. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, high attention to detail and a proactive approach to completing tasks efficiently and accurately

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, unload, and process daily deliveries in a timely and organised manner

- Maintain accurate stock rotation using FIFO principles

- Replenish shelves, ensure correct pricing and create clean attractive displays

- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor

- Ensure the department is clean, orderly and safe throughout the day





- Assist customers by providing product knowledge and responding to enquiries

- Follow all store policies, health and safety procedures and operational standards

- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and timelines

Essential Requirements

- Experience in grocery, retail, stock handling

- Proven ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high presentation standards

- Ability to perform under supervision as well as able to work independently

- Reliable, punctual

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to thrive in a quick-paced food retail environment

- Interest in healthy living is an advantage
