Windarring is a registered Disability Service Provider in central Victoria providing community participation programs, employment supports, centre-based programs, youth programs, holiday programs, supported living and respite care. We have sites in Bendigo, Castlemaine, Kyneton and Gisborne.

We are currently looking for casual Employment Support Mentors for our Bendigo clients, with a view to moving the right candidates to permanent part time work. You will have access to salary packaging and opportunities for career development.

The Role:

Our Employment Support Mentors facilitate work-related capacity building supports for young people with disability. We offer a range of supports, including job searching, interview support, a licence program, and several small-group capacity building activities including a woodwork microbusiness. However, the central plank of our service is work experience and/or volunteering. One of the ES Mentor's key roles is to facilitate and support clients to obtain and complete work experience. No two days are the same,



but you will have a measure of autonomy and independence, as well as strong support from the ES Manager.

About you:

We are looking for people who are passionate about employment outcomes for young people with disability. This is not regular support work, but it is exciting and highly rewarding. You will be supported to learn our service delivery model, and then you will be prepared to exercise a measure of independence and initiative, talking to businesses about work experience and/or volunteering for your clients, accompany clients to work placements or volunteering should they need it, and be trained as driver mentor to help facilitate our licence program through our partnership with L to P.

Desirable criteria:

- Cert III or Cert IV in Disability Support Services (or equivalent industry experience).

- Relevant work experience in Disability Support Services

- Experience in the Employment Services Sector

- A lived experience of disability.

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check .

- Current Employee Working With Children Check.

- Current valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
