The United Protestant Association of NSW Limited (UPA) is a leading not-for-profit care provider supporting communities across New South Wales through Residential Aged Care, Home Care and Retirement Living services.
The Opportunity
UPA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team at Gumleigh Gardens on a temporary contract of up to six months.
This position has arisen to provide cover during a workers compensation absence and offers an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team while contributing to the comfort, safety and wellbeing of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance works
- Maintain buildings, equipment and grounds to a high standard
- Complete routine inspections and maintenance schedules
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Ensure the facility remains safe and hazard-free
- Assist with contractor management and site improvements
- Support compliance with workplace health and safety standards
About You
You will have:
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Officer, Facilities or Handyperson role
- Strong general maintenance skills across building repairs and upkeep
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong customer service focus
- Current Driver's Licence
- Commitment to supporting older Australians
