About the role
Exponet is seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Manager - Exhibitions and Events to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Auburn NSW, this role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and nurture client relationships within the vibrant exhibitions and events sector. You will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic account management, ensuring client satisfaction, and identifying new opportunities within this fast-paced industry. This position is integral to our success, as you will serve as a key point of contact between our clients and our operations team, directly contributing to Exponet's reputation for excellence and client retention.
Key responsibilities
1. Manage a portfolio of existing client accounts, maintaining regular contact and ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with our exhibition and event solutions
1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the exhibitions and events market through proactive prospecting and networking
1. Develop and present tailored exhibition and event proposals to prospective clients, demonstrating our services and value proposition
1. Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with clients whilst maintaining profitability and company standards
1. Coordinate with internal teams including operations, logistics and finance to ensure seamless delivery of client requirements
1. Prepare and deliver regular account reports, forecasts and performance metrics to management
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their exhibitions and events needs
1. Respond promptly to client enquiries,
providing professional and knowledgeable support throughout the sales and service process
1. Attend industry events, trade shows and networking functions to represent Exhibition Hire and develop business connections
What we're looking for
1. 3+ years' experience in account management, ideally within the exhibitions, events, or related creative industries
1. Demonstrated track record of successful client relationship management and business development
1. Strong understanding of the exhibitions and events sector, including knowledge of industry trends and best practices
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels
1. Proven ability to negotiate effectively and close sales whilst maintaining positive client relationships
1. Strong organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
1. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
1. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think commercially and creatively
1. Self-motivated and driven, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
1. Willingness to travel occasionally to meet clients and attend events
